The German carmaker Volkswagen brought a prototype of the new Volkswagen Tarok to a car dealer in São Paulo. Innovation will enter the Latin American market around 2020.
The base of the new Volkswagen Tarok set MQB architecture. The pickup has a 5-seater double cab and a huge luggage compartment, allowing the loading platform surface to grow to carry 1,000 kg of heavy loads. The electronic control panel and the newest multimedia center with an impressive touch screen are worth mentioning in the salon.
The engine segment of the new Volkswagen Tarok is a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 150 hp. The unit can operate in both ethanol and a mixture of petrol and ethyl. In addition, a 2 liter 150-horsepower diesel engine is provided for delivery. The engines are powered by an automatic six-speed gearbox and a permanent four-wheel drive. The serial production of the model will begin in the near future.
