HH Sheikh Professor Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and Governor of Sharjah, visited today a series of vital works during his visit to the various cities and areas of the emirate located on the new Khorfakkan road and the city of Khorfakkan.
His Excellency listened to detailed explanations by officials about future projects and service facilities, highlighting the importance of rapid integration and attention to the environment and the cultural, aesthetic and tourist aspects of the various regions.
At the start of the tour, he inspected the Sharjah-Khorfakkan New Road, 89 km long and divided into three parts. He informed HH of the progress of work on the first phase of the road starting at Emirates Road, where he manages the development of the entrances to the new Khor Fakkan road to facilitate transit and entry and exit for road users.
Check the crossing of the new Sharjah-Khorfakkan road with the Nizwa road and then go to inspect the intersection of Al-Battaih and Khor Fakkan.
His resignation followed a tour of the Touai El Saman area and briefed HH on construction works on the new bridge that was being built there, serving the people of Tami.
His resignation went to the Washah Bridge and checked the progress of construction work. His Excellency led to the construction of a new tunnel from the new Khorfakkan Sharjah branch in the Safari area and the branch office of Sharjah Al Dhaid University. He also inspected the bridge leading to the industrial zone of Al-Zaid.
During his visit to the Al Dhaid area, HH directs officials there to make an inventory of all the needs and demands of the inner streets in Shaabiyat in Al Dhaid.
HH Sheikh Mohammed continued his tour by inspecting the road from Washfa to the 23-kilometer Dufta. His Highness stopped in the Al-Ghazir tunnel, where he set up a new living room at the entrance to the Al-Ghazir tunnel that includes all the vital facilities which serve the needs of passers-by and residents of the area, Integrated service for residents and residents of Wadi Sheis.
During the tour, he continued work on the remaining tunnels of Sharjah-Khorfakkan New Road.
His Highness stopped at the Al-Rafaisa Dam, where he was informed of the new fortifications restored there, the sunken village and the Al-Jabal village in Rafisah and Wadi Shi.
His Highness examined the progress of the entrance works in the city of Khorfakkan and the facilities, services and buildings, also inspected some new projects, including the development and cultivation of the area around the entrance of the city, reflecting the privacy of the tourist area. He also visited the area of the four lakes at the entrance of Khorfakkan. His Highness the Sharjah leader completed his tour by visiting the Khorfakkan Fortress.
