The differences between students in Sweden grew in school. In many other countries, the differences between students are reduced.
Both sexes between Swedish and immigrant children in Sweden are larger than in most other countries.
"For society this is a mistake and it causes serious problems when many people do not meet with the school," says Christina Heilborn at Unicef.
The different living conditions from which children come from – where they are born, having their mother tongue, what the parents are working – affect their entire schooling.
