The volume of mortgage loans at the end of September stood at 26.5 billion euros. The annual volume of loans increased by almost € 2.5 billion, recording an increase of € 161 million on a monthly basis. These are the current data of the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS).
Construction loans amounted to € 2.38 billion at the end of nine months, with building loans and interbank loans. Since the beginning of the year, the Slovak regulator has adjusted the reporting of loan data.
The reason is the legislative change in mortgage banking and the subsequent changes in reporting since the beginning of this year. So, there are no new times for mortgage subcategories.
As regards the share of individual banks in housing loans, Slovenská sporiteľňa's largest share was 27.73%. Followed by VUB with a share of 20.38% and the third place is Tatra banka with a share of 14.3%.
For building savings loans, the largest savings bank was the largest contributor. It accounted for 82.75%. The other companies in Slovakia, namely Wüstenrot Building Savings Bank and ČSOB Building Savings Bank, followed.
