Singapore-Singapore stocks rose higher on Thursday (November 8th), with the Straits Times rising 23.82 points or 0.8% to 3,089.18 at 9:07 am.

About 74 million shares worth $ 122 million altogether changed hands.

The winners outpaced the losses from 124 to 49.

The most active stock market was QT Vascular, which traded at $ 0.01 to 7.6 million shares to change hands.

Other activities included Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, which traded earnings of 0.04 or 3.1% at $ 1.33 and Singtel, which was under $ 0.03 or 1 percent at $ 3.11. Telco fell 77% to second-quarter profits to $ 667 million due to the absence of an excellent profit before the market began on Thursday.
