Ren: Bai Niang was robbed, three young men were convicted



Three young adults were tried Wednesday in the criminal court of Rennes for a series of burglaries targeting players from the Stade Rennais, Ouest-France reports. The case began on March 5, 2020. That afternoon, Rouge and Neuer were traveling to Saint-Etienne for a semifinal of the Coupe de France, lost 2-1.

Meanwhile, the home of striker M’Baye Niang, now in Saudi Arabia, visited Wren. In the following weeks, two other club players as well as business leaders also leaked to Bruz and Saint-Grégoire on the outskirts of Rennes.

Loss of 250,000 euros for one player

The thieves had seized many items of luxury, such as Vuitton handbags, jewelry, multimedia equipment and even an Audi. According to the newspaper, a player from Rennes had estimated his loss at 250,000 euros.

Reported by an anonymous source, two of the young men were arrested in flagrante delicto on July 24, 2020. The court sentenced the three young men to six to eighteen months in prison.
