Ms. Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) announced the conclusion of new contracts for the construction and development of more than 1.2 billion riyals in 2018, including several sectors in the city.
According to KAEC Executive Chairman Ahmed Bin Ibrahim Lengawi, the proportion of value allocated to the development of the industrial valley and residential areas and facilities of contract value amounted to about 20%, while 80% of the value of the contracts to develop the experience of residents, investors, through the establishment and development of a number of projects, services and products in several sectors, mainly the tourism sector, entertainment and global sport, pointing out that the percentage of companies and s national institutions of the total contract value exceeded 90%.
He stressed the continuation of the city's development plans to strengthen the strategic sectors such as logistics and industry. The industrial valley has so far attracted over 110 national and international companies. The capacity of King Abdullah harbor has reached 3.4 million containers per year. Quality of life through the development of more than 10,000 units and residential areas that have been distributed so far in six neighborhoods.
It underlined the city's desire to give priority to supporting the empowerment of Saudi Arabian youth by launching a series of initiatives and concrete projects in cooperation with various strategic partners, notably the Prince Al-Faisal Program for the Tamouh Human Building, which aims at training and certification of 10,000 students by the end of 2020, So far 3,800 people have been trained.
