The Communication Department of the Municipality of Parauapebas has just released another Epidemiological Bulletin for the scenario of the new coronavirus in the city. According to the Municipal Department of Health (Semsa), even with all the efforts and relentless effort to combat the spread of Covid-19 and the fight to save lives, the number of positive cases in the municipality is increasing daily.
On Wednesday (21), 38 new infected patients were confirmed, while the number of patients recovered is 53,034. Ascom also reports that the number of deaths from the disease is 476, with no new deaths recorded by Covid-19.
A total of 382,459 tests have been performed on the disease since the onset of the pandemic, between the PCR test and the rapid test. Of these, 328,003 were rejected, while 54,456 cases were confirmed.
Today, 35 people are hospitalized, which accounts for 32% of the beds available at Parauapebas. Regarding the Integrated Health System (SUS), 41% of the ICUs and 39% of the medical beds are occupied. In the private network, the usability is 25% for regular beds and 70% for ICU.
City Hall reinforces the importance of following the instructions of the Ministry of Health and healthcare professionals: always wash your hands with soap and water or use 70% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid leaving the house, but if you have to go outside, wear a protective mask over your nose and mouth – it is mandatory. Social distancing is the best precaution against the new coronavirus.
In case of symptoms, look for the Basic Health Units (UBS) at the following centers: Cidade Nova, VS-10, Minérios and Liberdade 1. The Emergency Care Unit (UPA) offers exclusive 24-hour care for patients infected with the new coronavirus. .
Those who have an appointment for the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine between July 17 and 23 can receive it until Friday (23), from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Chico Mendes School. Just present your ID with photo and proof of residence, in addition to the SUS card and the vaccination card.

Wednesday’s Epidemiological Bulletin reveals that 18 of the confirmed patients are men, ranging in age from 12 to 58 years. in the 20 confirmed women, the ages ranged between 2 and 90 years.
