The vast majority of stores lose because of the closure of stores every second Sunday. However, unlike Biedronka or Lidl, the Polish chain of Dino stores has been gaining since the beginning of 2018 and it is hard to expect that this will change in the near future.

Sunday bans have prompted many chains to encourage customers to make purchases with them on Friday or Saturday. The duels of Biedronka and Lidl are well known as they are fighting for the customer these days.

However, all the negative effects of the Sunday ban were not as well achieved. Although Biedronka continues to increase its sales, it is much slower than in previous years. Data after the third quarter of 2018 show that network sales grew by only 2.6%.

Its representatives openly state that it is a ban on trade. At the other end is the Dino network, which grew rapidly last year and opened many new stores. That is why it is the only network that is experiencing enormous growth.

Data shows that the Dino network increased its revenue from January to September by 32%. Sales growth was not much lower, as it rose to 28%. It is also not known whether the network plans to bypass the ban on trade by opening gas stations, in May requested permission to trade in liquid fuels.

In spite of the ban on Sunday's trading, we see an increase in the number of purchases made in the Dino (LfL) stores in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2017. We also noted a significant increase in the average value of evidence – said Szymon Piduch, president of Dino Polska, for "Wiadomości Handlowe".
