NEW YORK, USA – Minnesota Timberwolves Center Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a possible concussion in a crash car as he drove to the airport to catch a group flight.
Coach Ryan Saunders said on Friday February 22 (Saturday, Feb. 23, Manila) that Cities would lose the NBA squad against New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. This is the first time the city has lost a game in its career.
Cities participated in the crash on Thursday in Minneapolis and then flew to New York later that day on a separate flight to be able to join their teammates. Saunders said the cities were raised in the team's hotel.
The Dominican 7-foot is an average of 23.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 blocked shots a game this season for Minnesota.
"This is very important, it's healthy and it's okay," said teammate Andrew Wiggins. "Because many things could have gone wrong."
Guardian Tyro Jones said, "All he shows is that he has not promised anything." Tomorrow has not promised.
At 27-30, Timberwolves are 4 games behind Los Angeles Clippers for the 8th and final playoff spot at the West Conference.
