Morocco – Morocco's Abdelmead Fassi was elected Saturday in Helsinki, President of the International Union of Young Democrats (IYDU), who held the general assembly from November 8-11 in the Finnish capital.
Fassi is a parliamentary MP and member of the executive board of the Istiql Youth Organization (OJI), where he is also in charge of external relations.
Founded in 1981, IYDU, whose Morocco is the first president, is the International Democratic Union (IDU) youth section. It is considered as the largest international youth organization in the world, gathering members and observers from more than 80 countries.
This organization is active in defending democratic principles around the world, promoting economic exchanges, respecting human rights, and defending fraternity and friendship between peoples.
Throughout the year, he organizes political activities, work excursions, conferences and coaching campaigns, and participates in the monitoring of electoral work around the world.
