"Saffron, a lever for improving living conditions in rural areas", is the theme selected for the 12th edition of the Saffron International Festival. Organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Fisheries, Rural Development and Waters and Forests, the event took place from 2 to 4 November in Taliouine, Taroudant province.
The opportunity to celebrate the development of saffron culture and to understand the evolution and performance of the sector in local economic and social dynamics. On this occasion, a report was created that highlights local saffron production as well as various other local products presented by the local cooperatives.
Note also that the work to promote saffron in the Taliouine cycle is part of the national strategy to develop this area with its objectives, including the promotion of the Moroccan saffron identity.
