The first memory of the moon walks was sold for $ 468.5 thousand

The metal plate depicts the Apollo landing unit on the Moon on July 20, 1969.

When transferred to Earth, this plate was attached to a wooden table and served to Arthurston, the first man on the surface of the moon.

The other two astronauts who participated in this flight – Edwin Aldrin, the Buzz alias and Michael Collins, also took the following tables.

The sons of Artemstrong, Rick and Mark, decided to sell part of their father who died in 2012, gathered a very large collection of over 2,000 items.

The collections of items were sold in Dallas from Thursday to Saturday at auction. They were also available on the internet.

Two other sales are scheduled for next May and November. Like the first, they will be organized by the same Auction – Heritage Auction.

The commemorative table was sold for much more than expected, just like the main subject of this auction – the US flag, which was transferred to the Moon but not so full of surface.

This flag 45 cm long and 29 cm high, more than many others, has been sold in space, sold for 275 thousand. Dollars (€ 240.9 thousand), including taxes and commissions.

The cost of more than three times surpassed the predicted heritage – 75 thousand. dollars (65.7 thousand euros).

Among the items in the Arthurstone collection there were two sets of debris for Brothers Wright's aircraft. The take-off of this aircraft in December 1903 was considered the first modern flight.

N.Armstrang aircraft have taken over Apollo 11, so their historical value is double. Each kit was sold for 275 thousand. dollars – nine times more expensive than predicted.

A total of 5.2 million items were received for the first item sold in the Arthurst Collection. (€ 4.55 million), the report on heritage auctions says.
