Fruit, fish and air-conditioning prices dropped in October


The central organization for public mobilization and statistics (CAPMAS) announced that fruit prices fell by 8.0% in October 2018 compared with September due to a 10.3% reduction in banana prices, 37.6% and grapes by 2.6%.

Fish and seafood prices declined by an average of 0.7% Change Monthly decrease due to lower prices of fresh and frozen fish by 0.8%.

Alcohol, tobacco and air conditioners rose by 0.9% due to 0.9% cigarette price increase.

Clothing and footwear increased by 0.9% due to the price of the shoe group by 0.3%, the other clothing and accessories group by 1.3% and the clothing sector by 1.1%.
