Substance behavior near a black hole. The concentric circles shown in the figure are around a gas that rotates with a black hole.

An interesting and somehow mysterious message that appeared sometime with Halloween. In particular, scientists have submitted a statement that they have first seen how the black hole absorbs matter. Additionally, this is not an ordinary black hole, but the one found in our galaxy, called the Milky Way, in the middle. Also, the solar system (and hence each one of us), similar to the gambling path, is slowly turning around the galactic axis centered around the center of the black hole.
For the first time, the existence of black holes was considered theoretically already in 1915.
This was done by the German physicist Karl Schwarzschild in an analysis of the recently published Albert Einstein theory of general theory theory. It follows that the material can be compressed so heavy that heavier bodies of enormous density are formed. So that their gravitational field can not overcome either the light.
Now we understand that some stars start shrinking after the end of the nuclear reactions, "they fall in their own way" and eventually create a black hole. The features of the black hole are the most imaginative assumptions (which are not entirely unfounded) that can give the opportunity to travel in space and over time to conceal the gate into other universes. A mysterious phenomenon that inspired countless novels and science fiction films.
Physicists also realized that it is not possible to see the black holes directly, we can only see indirect evidence. For example, atypical abnormalities. Now, at last, astronomers from the Southern European Observatory in the Atakam desert in Chile have been able to observe and understand spiraling gas structures that revolve around a circle at an enormous speed of about 100,000 kilometers per second and then literally disappear anywhere.
Everyone agrees that it is but a series of black holes that absorb matter. The image is similar to what we see by skipping the water from the bathtub – the water in the hydromassage disappears into the sewer. Observations were made in the eye in the invisible infrared spectrum, so for publicity reasons, the photos are artificially colored.
Question: What will happen to us? If not with us, then with our sun. Nothing good, it will eventually disappear into the black hole. But there are two good news. In one of his recent works, British physicist Steven Hawking, who has just died, has shown that,
Because of the norms of quantum physics, black holes evaporate slowly.
Not as fast as they suck the subject, but still.
The second good thing is that our solar system is located on the outskirts of the galaxy, with its center and a dangerous black hole that divides us from 26,000 light-years. It's a huge distance – 246 times 10 to fifteen zeros per kilometer. So we can be calm at the moment. Indeed, sometimes it is better to live in a province than a metropolis.
