Two men were arrested after seizure of Cork prisoners worth € 180,000 last night.
The enormous finding came when the cops dug two houses at Maulbaun Estate, Passage West, around 11:00.
During the investigation, gardai found the vast amount of drugs that included cannabis resin, ecstasy tablets, cannabis and cocaine.
A cash amount was also seized.
Two men, aged 40 and 50, were arrested on stage and are currently detained in accordance with Article 2 of the 1996 Drug Abuse Act at Cork's Bridewell Garda.
On Saturday evening, the gardai confirmed that the two men had been released free of charge while preparing a file for the Public Prosecutor General.
A guardian spokeswoman said: "Gardaí from the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit seized a quantity of drugs with an estimated street value of € 180,000 (pending analyzes) and arrested two men during a planned operation aimed at drug sale and supply in Cork City.
"A planned survey for two homes was held at Maulbaun Estate, Passage West, Cork at 11:00 last night on Friday November 9, 2018.
"During the investigation, a quantity of cannabis resin, ecstasy tablets, hemp and cocaine herbs were seized along with some cash.
"The two men (1 x mid 50s and 1 x late 40s) were arrested on stage and are currently detained under Section 2 of the 1996 Drug Abuse Act at Cork's Bridewell Garda Station, which can be kept for up to seven days. "
