The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 could soon take its successor, but not just one or two but three rear camera sensors, according to information shared by a consultant. The handset, which is likely to be called the ZenFone Max Pro M2, is expected to come in multiple variations and one of these variants is likely to continue the legacy of the dual camera setup offer. Asus is also rumored to be carrying the ZenFone Max M2 that could be the successor to the ZenFone Max M1. The new details come more than a month after the Taiwanese company announced the sale of more than one million units of ZenFone Max Pro M1. The smartphone was released in India in April of this year to take on the names of Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Type: Roland Quandt claim that ZenFone ZB634KL aka ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be released soon with a triple camera back setup. On a tweet thread, Quandt also mentioned that alongside the ZB634KL, the Taiwanese company is planning to bring the ZB632KL which could be another variation of the ZenFone Max Pro M2. There could also be a ZB631KL variant with triple camera setting. In addition, it is rumored that a handset bearing the model number ZB633KL could make a debut such as the ZenFone Max M2.
Quandt, in a separate tweet, mentioned the rumored specifications of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 ZB631KL and the ZenFone Max M2 ZB633KL. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 ZB631KL comes with a 6-inch Full HD screen, triple rear camera setup, 13-megapixel selfie camera, 4GB RGB, 32GB / 64GB storage and Snapdragon 660 SoC. The ZenFone Max M2 ZB633KL is also rumored with identical specifications, except for the dual rear camera and the Snapdragon 636 SoC. He also pointed out that ZB632KL will be ZenFone Max M2 and ZB634KL as the ZenFone Max M2 Pro model especially for the Indian market.
In the specification section, Quandt says that he is not entirely sure. This means it's safe to take his words with a pinch of salt. However, he is confident about the information about the specific models of India.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is likely to arrive sometime before the end of the year, while the ZenFone Max M2 is rumored to be released next year. Price data has not yet been reported, although the two new ZenFone models are likely to have competitive pricing to compete.
