Norman Gene Macdonald, Canadian stand-up comedian, writer and actor, has died at the age of 61. He has been battling cancer for nine years, according to TMZ News.
The comedian has been a regular guest on iconic TV shows such as David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Fallon, Larry King, Jay Leno and Howard Stern. TMZ reportedly battled cancer for almost a decade, which eventually crushed him.
He was previously the author of the comedy series Roseanne and then a member of SNL – Saturday Night Live – for five years. Synchronized or appeared in many movies and series, IMDb lists 51 productions. Paste magazine named him one of the “50 Best Stand-Up Comedians of All Time,” but he was also successful as a writer and producer.
