With four doors the new Audi TT (pics) | Presentations: Car

About four years ago, an Audi TT Sportback with four doors and two real rear seats was presented at the Paris Exhibition. According to a report by the British magazine Auto Express, this idea will go into practice, when the fourth-generation Audi TT will be released with four-door bodywork. This will end with TT as we have known so far and which completes this year's 20 years of successful career.

The next Audi TT is expected in the market in 2020 and the change from two-door to four-door has been approved by the four-ring German brand management. The fourth-generation model will have significantly larger external dimensions than the current model to offer increased roominess. This will increase the length of the wheelbase by 12 full points and the length of the body by 29 centimeters, while the width will be 6 points bigger.

The sporty German model will be based on the current, adaptable MQB floor and will be released in mild hybrid versions with gasoline and diesel engines as well as a hybrid and pure electric plug-in. The new Audi TT will be a category lower than the A5 Sportback with its main rivals Mercedes CLA and BMW 2 Gran Coupe.
