US: Twitter clears 10,000 accounts with boycotts in US elections

The short messaging service on Twitter has removed more than 10,000 false invoices boycotted by upcoming US congressional elections. The spokesman for the company confirmed the Reuters news agency and TechCrunch news portal that the accounts were canceled at the end of September and early October. The accounts misconstrued the fact that US Democrats had created it.

The company did not give concrete examples and did not announce any initiative.

In the 2016 presidential election campaign, Twitter has closed millions of accounts for bad information, especially for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Facebook also used presidential election manipulation advertising messages, so-called dark ads.

According to the latest data, 335 million users per month work on Twitter.
