Napoli and Paris, St.Germain, played at a 1-1 draw

Napoli and Paris, St.Germain, played in a 1-1 draw in the Champions League, as Neymar produced a typical performance on the French side, mixing brilliance and isolation.

Juan Bernatt gave the PSG to deserve the lead in the first half before Lorenzo Insigne equalized with a penalty shoot-out in the 62nd minute after Jose Callejon was wronged by defender PSG Thiago Silva and climbed into the area.

The result, coupled with a 2-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade in Liverpool earlier Tuesday, threw Group C very broadly with only two points separating the four sides.

Liverpool and Napoli have six portions, with PSGs at five and Red Star in Belgrade at four. The PSG and Napoli returned 2-2 at their previous meeting last month.

Neymar did not enter the score sheet but was in the thickness of the action. The Brazilian showed inspirational flashes and panic when he ran to Napoli's defense. However, there were moments that were too individualized, supported with their opponents and eventually they were kept for wanton sarcasm applauding the referee.

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who made his debut in the Champions League after finishing a ban from the third season, did not win the first half of his first fight in Italy after his retirement from Juventus.

Napoli tried to escape the defense against the PSG aggressive press and was the guests who had the best openings, eventually advancing to the second minute of the downtime. It was a different story after half-time, as Napoli broke the visitors.

Buffon denied Dries Mertens twice, so Jose Callejon's shot was blocked by Thilo Kehrer, and Fabian Ruiz made a move out of the penalty area.

Buffon somehow managed to stop a Lorenzo Insigne shot on a line for which he did not know anything, and he took the penalty to finally defeat the 40-year-old veteran. Thiago Silva failed to steal the ball, Callejon dug and caught in a sandwich between the guards and the defensive. The Insigne was transformed.

The game remained open and fierce, but no side could find a winner.
