Exclusive: The veteran coach wants Kwesi Appiah to make good use of the return duo duo from September 2017
Former Hearts of Oak coach JE Sarpong admitted his enthusiasm for Andre and Jordan Ayew's return to the Black Stars team, but wants coach Kwesi Appiah to get the best out of the duo when locking horns with Ethiopia 2019 Africa Cup qualifiers of the nations on November 18th.
The brothers had been sidelined since September last year after allegedly having suffered illness and injuries to overlook the game against the Congo in Brazzaville.
With Ghana struggling in the campaign, Sarpong believes it is the right time for the couple to return.
"I'm happy to be back, but Kwesi Appiah must be able to manage their return very well to get the best of them," said the target.
"I think Appiah did well in his decision to ignore them initially because what made him refuse to appear in the game against the Congo was disappointing. The differences have now been resolved, so brothers need command from the coach, Ethiopia."
"We can not just reject them and on their return, it is very likely that we will beat Ethiopia in Addis Ababa and then we will finish Kenya in the final game to qualify for the tournament," added Sarpong.
Ghana occupies third place in group F with three points, four misguided leaders of Kenya and one behind Ethiopia.
