AFRIMA Airs Live on DStv and GOtv across Africa – BusinessGhana News

Multichoice is pleased to announce that we will be broadcasting the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) live on DStv and GOtv on 21-24 November. This festival is at its 5thth will be held in multiple locations in Acroa, its new host city by 2020. The main event of this year will be hosted by a trio that will be Ghana's multi-day MC Anita Erskine, Pearl Thusi from South Africa and American Ghana Blackson.

The awards will be shown live on the DStv 196 channel to Premium, Compact, Compact Plus, Family and Access and GOtv MAX and GOtv Plus Channel 129. DStv customers across the continent can also stream live events to DStv Now and their phones. AFRIMA is the biggest music awards in Africa with more than 700 artists on the continent.

AFRIMA is aired live from Accra, Ghana's capital is scheduled for 21st to 24th November 2018; other planned activities include the African Business Music Meeting, a combination of music conferences and trade fairs will bring with them the stakeholders of the creative and arts industry to discuss musical activities in Africa. There is also the AFRIMA Music Village, a musical concert and cultural festival that will be shown live for millions of African music lovers around the world through a network of more than eighty TV channels. AFRIMA Music Village will watch live performances by African artists such as P Square, Shatta Wale, Wiyala, Falz, Diamond Platinum and more than forty more African musicians.

Candidates in the regional and continental category are fighting for the coveted AFRIMA 23.9 carat trophy. The regional category, which consists of Best Female Artists and Best Male Artists in the five regions of Africa, features 79 candidates, while the Continental category, which honors excellent work in various African music, boasts 260 candidates with both categories are a total of 339 music professionals and songs nominated for the 2018 edition of the continental awards.
