Recipients included the Jacob Zuma Foundation, which reportedly received Rs 150,000, and Makhensa Mabunda, who received a kitchen for Rs 5 million.

Sacks told Zondo that the Hawks requested his preliminary report in 2017 and have been quiet ever since.

So Zondo said they should tell South Africa why.

“Since nothing has been done, the hawks owe the country an explanation.”
